Kristina Gear is a seasoned Managing Director with a deep-rooted passion for travel. Officially joining the Preferred Travel team in 2013, her love for travel started at a young age. Growing up with her mother Olga, the President & CFO of Preferred Travel, Kristina was exposed to the world of travel at an early age and it quickly became her passion.
One of Kristina’s most memorable trips was to Antarctica, where she not only had the opportunity to visit the elusive continent but also had the privilege of celebrating her mother’s achievement of visiting all seven continents. This trip was not only an exploration of the untouched beauty of Antarctica but also a celebration of a significant milestone in her mother’s life.
When traveling, Kristina’s favorite thing to do is to indulge in local cuisine. She believes that food is a window into the culture and traditions of a place and loves to explore new flavors and culinary experiences.
Kristina’s best travel advice is to not get stuck behind the camera. She encourages travelers to fully immerse themselves in the experience and absorb the moment rather than viewing it through a lens. This mindset allows her to truly connect with the places she visits and bring back more than just pictures, but memories and experiences that last a lifetime.
