Personal Travel highlight of a recent trip: I just returned from my first full river cruise on Uniworld’s beautiful ss Maria Theresa and am hooked. I was able to bike along canals in the beautiful little town of Hoorn and visited the beautiful Keukenhof Gardens outside of Amsterdam.
Favorite thing I try to do when I travel: Try the local cuisine and learn about the history of the place.
Best Travel Advice: Take a picture of your passport and travel documents and keep on your phone in case of emergency. Also travel with a small flashlight. It has come in handy on many occasions.
Favorite Destination: I enjoy everywhere I travel to. Some places more than others. Some are unexpected surprises that delight. You have to be open to the new experiences. For favorite city – it’s a tie between London and Istanbul.Favorite country destination, it’s a tie between Botswana and Borneo.
Dream Trip: Several weeks on a luxury African safari. Staying at the best camps with game drives, hot air ballooning over the savannah and sleeping in a star bed under the Milky Way.
Bucket List to do’s: Explore Antarctica, Trek with Gorillas, snorkel in the Galapagos Islands, watch the great migration, see the Churchill polar bears and sleep in the tundra buggy hotel with the Aurora Borealis blazing overhead.
