Personal Travel highlight of a recent trip: My most recent trip was to Tahiti aboard the Paul Gauguin. The islands and the people, were so wonderful, and the snorkeling out of this world! Such a great way to see French Polynesia, without having to fly to each island and pay the exorbitant rates for food and drink. And the food and service was phenomenal on board!
Favorite thing I try to do when I travel: I try to go to somewhere that isn’t on the tourist list. Recently in China, we took the local ferry to Gulangyu, a totally pedestrian island, which is a favorite of the Chinese. We were the only non-Chinese people on the boat. Many pictures were taken!
Best Travel Advice: Smile and be courteous. It’s a common language,and will help you through anything
Best Client Rescue: My clients were just in Europe, and left their train tickets at the hotel. I had new ones delivered to the next hotel. Then while on same train, I found out that the French taxi’s were on strike. Luckily I had a car and driver for them, and I was able to call the clients and tell them where to go to meet the driver. They were so happy, since the train station was mobbed with striking taxi drivers
Most memorable Client trip: I planned a multi-generational, privately guided trip through Europe for 12 people. Everything from afternoon tea at the Goring, to going down the longest Alpine slide in Austria. It was so much fun to plan and make sure that everyone had a great time!
Favorite Destination: Africa and Italy.
Dream Trip: I want to go to Western Australia, swim with the Whale Sharks and take a cruise along the Kimberly.
Bucket List to do’s: More Africa, Tahiti, Vietnam river cruise, Danube river cruise, Antartica,Svalbard, Iceland & more South America.
